Hi,

There are several potential causes of numbness in the big toe, some of which may be related to your medical history and current health status. One possibility is that the numbness is caused by nerve compression or injury, such as a pinched nerve in the back or leg. This can be more common in individuals who are overweight or have conditions like restless leg syndrome.

Another possibility is that the numbness is related to a circulatory problem, such as peripheral artery disease, which can cause reduced blood flow to the toes and feet. Since you have a history of iron deficiency, it's worth noting that anemia and other blood disorders can also cause numbness or tingling in the feet and toes.

I would recommend seeing a doctor to have the numbness evaluated. They may perform a physical exam and order imaging tests or nerve conduction studies to determine the underlying cause. Treatment options may include medications, physical therapy, or lifestyle changes to address any underlying conditions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
