What Causes Numbness In Feet And Hands Despite Having Herniated Disc In Back And Neck?

I was just trying to see if some of the pains that i am feeling is from the metal in my body. there is numbness in my feet and hands. A burning sensation in my leg. I don t get much sleep because the weight of my own body cuts off my circulation when i lay down so i am always tossing and turning. I know i have herniated disc in my back and neck. I have a reconstructed hip on the right side.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to the HCM.
Dear herniated disc could be causing numbness and burning sensation ,as disc prolapse can cause nerve irritation supplying that particular area.So I would suggest you to get checked by a Neurosurgeon and discuss wether physiotherapy and some neurogenic pain killers like gabapentine, tramadol can relieve your symptoms or you may needsurgery to relieve the irritation of nerves, depends on extent of herniation of disc.
