What Causes Numbness In Finger And Thumb?

I was sometimes feeling some numbness in my index finger and thumb, and when i tried doing something like writing for example i started shivering and couldnt do it right, now its happening a lot more often, I wake up already feeling it. I'm 21, whats going on?
