What Causes Numbness In Left Side Of Face, Shoulder, Arm And Ribs Area?

I have cervical spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis-I was born with it. I got hurt lifting a 50 pound bucket of paint and have numbness on the left side of my face, left shoulder, arm, hand, blade and rib/arm pit area. Did the accident cause this?? Or will my work say it was my neck?
