What Causes Numbness In Leg Below Hip Bone And Constant Back Pain?

i have numbness in my left leg from my hip bone down about 6". this has been happening for about 6 months now. i have had back pain for over 10 years now but my doctors can't seem to find a cause of the back pain so i am reluctant to waste my time going to see them abou this
