What Causes Numbness In Legs And Lower Body With Severe Diarrhea?
My step father (79) stood up after attending a meeting and eating a meal, and felt a sense of paralysis in his legs from the abdomen down. He was ill with diarrhea throughout the night, and still felt somewhat imobilized in the morning (walking with a cane). He still feels like his lower body doesn t feel quite right. Thoughts?

He might be experiencing food poisoning.
Should go to ER as might be a case of severe dehydration. Might need intravenous fluids therapy.
