Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my granddaughter had robotic pyeloplasty about a week a go...the surgery was sucessful except she complained of numbness in her right arm and tingling in her hands as soon as she woke up...up to today she says its still numb and so annoying she feels like pulling her arm off .its very uncomfortable. they told her it was probably the positioning of the operation and that she should get the feeling back soon,,, when should we start to worry?
It could probably be due to positioning and nerve compression. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
