What Causes Numbness In The Arms While Suffering From Osteoarthritis?
I am female. I am 63 . I have osteoarthritis in both shoulders and at some point will need two shoulder replacements. When I sleep I wake up every hour because my arms and hands are asleep. I sleep from side to side.. what is causing this (I assume my osteo, but what causes it and what can I do?
osteoarthritis in shoulder will obviously lead to pain when the joint become so vulnerable. as your bone and cartilage become very tender and while contacting externally to any hard or soft surface. by lying on one side either right or left side shoulder joint will contact the bed and continuous pressure will initiate pain and discomfort while on sleep. you need to rule frozen shoulder and functionality of your joint. as you are planning for shoulder replacement kindly visit your orthopedic surgeon to get opinion.
Thanks and regards Dr.S.Senthilnathan
