What Causes Numbness In The Buttocks?

Hello sir , i`m 28 years old , and i have been suffering from numbness in my butt cheeks , and pain in the lower back , so i got MRI scan , and just got the result stating : L5-S1 mild diffuse posterior disc bulge is seen encroaching on the ventral epidural fat , yet not indenting the thecal sac anteriorly , it shows reduced bright T2 signal denoting its degenration
how is this going to affect my life , since i`m an engineer and i just have left a job and looking for another
