What Causes Numbness In The Cheeks After Vomiting?

My daughter has thrown up and is naseaus and is complaining about her cheek feeling numb since she woke up today. The only difference in her medication is the insurance company switched her birth control to junel 1.5/30. I was wondering if that could cause her symptoms. She also takes sertraline
