What Causes Numbness In The Feet And Legs, Progressing To The Thighs?

Why do I have numbness in my feet and legs which has now progressed to my thighs. I still have feelings but no pain. I have been seen by a neurologist who also checked for diabetes which was negative. His only suggestion was pain killers if i needed them! Do you have any ideas?

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
I have read and understood your concern
Your symptoms could be cause by many medical conditions. Some possible causes may include:
-Peripheral neuropathy
-Ionic imbalances
-Vitamin deficiency
-Neurologic disorders like MS
-Liver/renal pathologies
-And others
I will suggest you try the following:
*Take a multi vitamin and anti oxidant combination like renerve plus
*B complex vitamins
*Take enough water
*Remain active
*Hire the services of a Physiotherapist
*If pain, you take pain drugs as prescribed by your Doctor
If symptoms persist, you see your Doctor for investigation.Tests that may help include: serum electrolytes, brain CT scan, EMG, renal and liver function tests....
Hope this will help. You may wrtie back if more concerns
Wish you good health
