What Causes Numbness In The Feet?

The last several days, after I lay down on the bed after work, my feet become numb very quickly. It is only when lying down. There are a few tingling areas that are random in my thighs and calves while lying as well. My thumb and the top of my hand (one half) are completely numb for the last 4 days
