What Causes Numbness In The Left Hand While On Prednisone For An Ear Infection?

I have a pretty severe ear infection in the canal of my left ear, and have been taking both oral antibiotics and antibiotic drops for the last 2 days. Last night, the pain was so severe and felt like a constant stabbing inside my ear, and I had to go to urgent care. There, they also prescribed me Prednisone to aid the antibiotics and gave me some pain medication. I have taken 3 doses of antibiotics and 2 doses of Prednisone at this point. The pain is subsiding, however, now I am feeling a tingling and numbness in my left hand, on the left side and through the pinkie and ring finger. Is this at all related?

Hello,

The tingling sensation may not be related to the infection or the medication and the best thing would be to meet your doctor for finding out the cause for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
