General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Most commonly the numbness on one side of the body below the waist (left leg) could be due to nerve compression at the lumbar spine level. The numbness extending to left arm, neck and face and cheek is suggestive of a stroke with sensory loss.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. TALARI PAUL,
