What Causes Numbness In The Right Hand And Thumb?

My wife age 78 is experiencing numbness in 2 right hand finger and thumb. This is worst that several months ago. On 5/31 she had neurosurgery 2- cages, 2 discs removed, 6 screws for 9 extension rods, spinal cord leak sealed. She was in intensive care for 6 hays on third day she went into artilfibulation. Her numbness and tingling is worse tonight. Her heart is is racing She says her heart is racing. Any suggestions what I should do tonight?

It might be due to conditions like peripheral neuropathy. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. A detailed evaluation is required including nerve conduction study.
