What Causes Numbness In The Whole Body While Suffering From Hypertension?

Hello, my mother is 84 years old and had a sudden loss of feeling in her muscles in her whole body and fell to the floor. All her vitals are now good. She suffers from hypertension and has a pace maker. She does occasionally suffer from vertigo, which was last on 2/13.

Hi,

This is due to either abrupt fall in blood pressure, neuropathy or any abnormality in glucose levels in the blood.

As you say she has vertigo due to that she can also suffer from fall. All it needs an examination to check blood sugar levels and monitoring blood pressure and pulse during the episode.

Let me tell you if she has any diabetes or nerve problem. There is no need to worry all it needs to address it properly. She may need drugs but that would be decided after case history and clinical examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
