Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain feeling of numbness of tongue during running can be due to a few causes and at times it can also be the outcome of the combination of the symptoms..
During running there is
dehydration of the body leading to dryness in mouth as well as tongue and also there is disturbance in electrolyte balance and along with it the blood is re-routed towards the lower extremities and there is reduced blood in the blood vessels of the upper part of body including the head and neck region and all of these factors or any of it can lead to
tongue numbness which regains after the running is stopped..
There can be a few more causes like
mouth breathing,
stress, teeth grinding and clenching habit etc..
It is not a harmful finding and you should not worry until the numbness is without running also or the time span of numb feeling is even higher that is after hours of runing, in that case you can consult a physician and get evaluated..
As of now there is nothing to worry..
Hope this information helps..
