What Causes Numbness In Upper Leg Close To Pelvic Region?

I just noticed some numbness in my left upper leg along my underwear line. I feel fine and have no other symptoms. I have a regular doctor appointment in a couple weeks so was planning to just inquire then unless I need to go into the office sooner. Thank you

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern, and would like to explain that yuor symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve or a radicular compression in the lumbar spinal column (may be related to a displaced disk).

I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a careful physical examination, a spinal column x ray study and a nerve conduction study of your lower limbs.

A lumbar spine MRI may be needed if suspicions for a spinal compression are raised during the physical examination.

Hope to have been helpful!

Best regards,

Dr. Iliri
