What Causes Numbness On Neck And Cheek?

hi...i just had a neck lymph node removed under general anasthetic......do you know if they would have used a local on it as well? coz it has been 7 hours since i came round and am at home now but the numbness from my neck,cheek,ear is still the same as earlier.
