What Causes Numbness On The Feet?

I am losing feeling in my feet and part of my leg. The area of the leg used to be sore or even feel like it was burning from spinal stenosis. Can the loss of feeling due to nerve apathy from years of spinal stenosis compression? I am diabetic but that is well controlled, and I never had foot pain or numbness from it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query I understand your concern.
Yes...Spinal stenosis is also likely to cause increased compression on nerves causing adfitional sympytoms as you have ( loss of feeling in addition to burning &soreness in feet)
Long standing diabetes also leads to periferal nuropathy &numbness in leg .
* you should get diabetic profile tested to know your diabetic control. .... &start with expert advised treatment regieme to control it first.
*Consultation of your spinal surgeon,MRI of spine to assess the stage of spinal stenosis & go for needful tratment plan /surgery if needful.
*Till the time vitamine B12 suppliments can soothe the symptoms
Thanks.
