What Causes Numbness On The Side Of The Penis?

I developed numbness in the right side of my penis from the corona to the base and numbness in my right buttock, groin and scrotum immediately after a microdiscectomy. Everything is concentrated only on the right side. It s been two weeks with no improvement. My surgeon says it ll repair itself, but I didn t have this issue prior to surgery. Now I m being referred to a urologist. Also, I don t have incontinence or any problems with my bladder.
