What Causes Numbness On Tongue After Eating Almonds?

I ate a few really bitter tasting almonds that had an almost chemical taste to them and made my tongue numb. I didn t spit them out as it was inappropriate, but now I am worried they were mouldy and could cause liver cancer. Is this possible or would i have needed to eat a lot more?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The numbness on the tongue after eating almonds can be because of the allergic reaction or burn caused by the almond. This can result in loss of papillae leading to taste loss. This will return to normal in a week. You can take multivitamin capsules. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated if it is not reducing in a week.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
