What Causes Numbness On Tongue?

I have had 3 instances of the tip of my tongue being numb for less than 5 minutes over the last 6 weeks. I am one post radiation for epidermoid cance in the left maxillary sinsus. Part of the hard palate and 4 teeth were remove. I wear an obturator. Also, the numbness seems to occur around the same 5 -6 pm. Stress??

The numbness of tip of the tongue may be due to damage to the nerve supplying the tip of the tongue.this may also be due to stress.
