What Causes Numbness With Tingling And Burning Sensation In Hands And Feet?

Hi. I am a 52 yo woman, post menopausal, and overweight (nice!). I am under great stress in both my home life and work. Over the last couple of months, I have been having numbness, tingling burning and pain in my hands and feet. Plus very painful elbows (I know - weird!). I ve also developed fascitis in one foot. Painful. I ve just moved to a new city, and the one doc I saw was unhelpful to say the least. I was tested in November for blood sugar and found to have no issues (a regular checkup with my new GYN). Is it possible that this is diabetes so soon after an all clear test? Does Fibromyalgia cause burning in the extremeties? Thanks.

Hi there.

This looks like Glove and stocking type of neuritis which can occur in Diabetes and other disorders. You should get treated for Fasting and 2 hour Post prandial blood sugar to rule out Diabetes. Take Tablet Pregabalin 75mg with Methylcobalamine twice a day for relief.
