What Causes Numbness, skin Discolouration And Light Red Rashes On Shin Area?

Hi, I m a 33 yr old female....I ve recently noticed a numbness on my right shin area, below my knee and above my ankle. I noticed it originally while shaving but there is no pain at all, just a lack of feeling at the touch of it which I thought was odd, but left as is and started streching thinking it could be a circulation or blood flow issue as the area above the numbness on my knee is colder to the touch than any of the other skin around the numbness. My skin also appears to be slightly discolored on either side of the numbness...not reaaly dark, but looks like a light red rash is the best way I could describe it.......no itch or pain or anything...just complete numbness. It s cold and I can feel pressure on the area, but that s it. I m not sure what s going on or if I should be really worried here....I also have absolutely no insurance and no extra money to put toward a dr visit....hence the reason I m here.

Hello,

You are having numbness in your right shin area, below the knee and above the ankle. The skin around the numbness is discolored with light red rashes on the area affected. There is no pain or itch. Such symptoms are commonly due to injury, trauma, insect bite, nerve pinch, developing peripheral artery disease, fibromyalgia, diabetic neuropathy, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get all investigations and nerve conduction velocity tests done.

You will be treated accordingly. You should include vitamin B6, B12, zinc, magnesium rich diet or you can also take supplements. Take care of your hygiene. apply ointment Thrombophob on the area affected for relief. You can take antihistamine if it is due to insect bite, inflammation will get reduced. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
