What Causes Obesity And Fluid Retention In The Body?

My 21 yr.old granddaughter is several 100 lbs overweight--DRS have checked thyroid with different tests. Is it possible that the pituitary gland could be overlooked in these tests. Now she is retaining fluid and water pills have no effect. What tests are done for pituitary gland problems.

Hello,

I don't think pituitary glad has something to do with increased weight. Thyroid can be checked since hypothyroidism can lead to increased body weight. Water retention can be caused by kidney failure.
