What Causes Occasional Burning Sensation Under The Ribcage Post Cholecystectomy?

Hi, in 1998 i had my gall bladder removed within 1 yr of having my son. Occasionally, I get a burning sensation just under my rib cage. Size if a dime. I asked my doctor and he dismissed it. For a spell I had more often but the last one was a few weeks ago. Any idea what it could be and should I check into further? I dont have pain, swelling, jaundice, trouble with GI. Please advise
