I just had a ekg, x-ray, and blood work done in the er todat. Everything came back normal. But my chest still hurts. not constant. I am 28yrs old otherwise healthy. I have quit smoking about 6 months ago. I have a family issue of stomach problems. Please can i get some help?
One of the main cause after heart problem is Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). In this condition stomach contents regurgitate back to esophagus resulting in pain in chest behind sternum. Other causes include:
> Acid Peptic Disease: In this pain occurs in stomach area. Associated with or without food.
> Muscular Spasm: It occurs due to lifting heavy load. Causes spasm of the chest muscles resulting in chest pain
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. Wishing you good health.
