What Causes Occasional Lower Abdominal Pain?

I ve had a pain that comes and goes, below what I d consider to be my abdomen, sort of the pelvic area. I had my uterus removed almost two years ago but still have my ovaries. Scar tissue from a C-sectiin 21 years ago. No traumatic injury to the area. No bleeding or bruises. Going from a sitiing position to a standing one is difficult and painful. Ideas? I m 44, working w a new rheumatologist to arrive at a diagnosis in the arhritis family, so I can t discount that as part of the problem either.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Lower abdominal pain can be related to a bladder infection. I suggest to do a complete blood count and a urinary tract infection to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I suggest to use anti-inflammatory medication for the pain such as Ibuprofen three times a day. I also recommend to drink a lot of liquids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
