What Causes Odor From My Vagina?

Hi, Dr. Jain! My boyfriend just told me about an hour ago during a conversation that my vagina has a strong odor. He said he has tried to give me subtle hints for the longest time and I guess I never caught on. I had a pap smear, along with STD testing in January and my results were fine. He claims it was before that that he noticed. Could it be something simple or more complex?
