Hello and how are you?I m Patrick. My question is. I have this on and off slight muscular pain between my shoulder blades, I do stoop forward slightly when driving and sitting. I remind myself of my posture, I straighten up and feel it in this area. I drink a bit of coffee and also get this on/off burning feeling in my sternum. Any ideas please?Regards Patrick

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query.I understand your concern. The pain in back you have is due to wrong posture ... need to correct it with help of physiotherapy. The burning behind sternum seems to be due raised acidity after drinking coffee. ..not related with back pain.Try tab ranitidine 150 mg twice a day & avoid spicy ,fried ,hot food. Avoid hot drinks/alcohol.A void fasting. Drink plenty of water. Thanks.
