What Causes On And Off Sharp Pain In Groin?

I have been having groin pain the last two days, it is a sharp pain but it isn't there all the time, when it happens I just sit for a while and it goes away. I am on xeralto, tambacor and metropolol for my atrial fibrillation, but no other health problems.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there,
A sharp pain in your groin can be due to-
1) Stones in the ureter. a simple ultrasound abdomen would help us see if this is the cause.
2) Epidydimitis- A course of antibiotics would resolve this.
You can get an ultrasound done and if there is no stone in your urinary tract you can be put on antibiotics.

Hope this helps,
Dr Arun A
