What Causes Oozing Of Pus From The Surgical Site?

I had a d&c, uterine ablashion, and my tunes removed a little over a month ago, it seemed to have gotten infected because I was having a grayish, bloody pus coming from one of the incisions. Tonight I went in to clean it up and change the bandaid, but when I did it popped open, and the dissolvible stitches popped out when it did that, leave a gap, is it OK or do I need to go get it checked out??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Please see your doctor right away or visit the ER.

An Infected surgical site must be immediately investigated and treated to prevent life threatening complications and improper healing.

I recommend :
-an immediate consult with your doctor.
-keep the wound clean and dry. Apply sterile gauze/dressing over the area and keep area dry.
-continue antibiotics if you still have them.

Do not wet the area or try to squeeze the pus out.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health
