I have this oozing patch of red kinda bumpy skin on the sides of my nose. it oozes this clear-yellow liquid that s kinda oily. when I wipe it away it just instantly comes back. it feels like I m sweating oil. when I leave it be, it hardens. also kind of flaky, it s left these horrible dark spots on the sides of my nose. what is this?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
It seems you are suffering from Seborrheic dermatitis, a kind of inflammatory skin condition with fungal cause.
I generally recommend oral antifungal drugs like fluconazole/itraconazole for few weeks along with local application of mild steroid like fluticasone mixed with antifungal like terbinafine for few weeks.
Regular use of salicyclic acid based facewash with help in preventing the recurrence.
Avoid excessive use of cosmetics/talcum/moisturiser.
Hope this will take care of your condition and wish you best of health.
Thank you
