What Causes Oral Thrush While On Antibiotics?

Hello, thank you so much for helping me. After treating a strong tonsils infection with amoxilina 1g. I start to develop an oral thrush. The doctor discontinued the antibiotics and prescribed an antifungal liquid medicine plus a kind of mouth wash. It has been 3 days and I feel worse. I can eat, sleep and my roof of thd mouth and throat are killing me... Please help!!!
