What Causes Orange Color Urine With Severe Abdominal Pain?

I had a curry chicken on Friday evening. While eating my meal I experienced raising pain from the lower abdomen to the top. The pain intensified. I emptied my stomach a few times and the pain dissapitated. When I got home I could not sleep as the pain was horrible at the top of my stomach. I emptied the stomach 3 more times and slept in in the elevated position. Could not turn to any side as it would couse more pain. I got through the night and feel ok now. However my pee is dark orange since Friday- today is Sunday. I have a normal 500ml - 800 ml of water per day. I am 40 yo and healthy and a bit overweight. I am concerned that my pee is dark orange. Can you advise?

HI.
You have got 2 questions- one pertaining to orange color urine and the other is about severe pain in abdomen.

The causes of Orange color urine in your case may be due to:: Concentration of the urine as you had pain in abdomen s, vomiting so got dehydrated; and now you are taking very less water as you say only 500 to 800 ml. In some cases this color can be due to adulteration with the food color which they use in Chicken curry.
Another question about your pain in abdomen, vomiting look to be due to the contents of the chicken curry in the form of the color they use. It is possible that you got a perforation of the stomach ulcer which got closed and healed - fortunately.
Get the following investigations done:
Blood- routine, liver function tests, Kidney function tests, sugar and all relevant as per your Doctors advise.
Urine- routine, microscopy, bile salts and pigments, culture and sensitivity.
Standing X-ray of the abdomen, ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Upper GI Endoscopy to rule out stomach ulcer or cancer.
The treatment will depend upon the investigations and clinical examination.
