What Causes Orange Mucus Nasal Discharge Post Recovery From Sinus Infection?

Hi, Ive had a severe sinus infection for the last four weeks and was treated with augmentin which calmed it down significantly however i woke up this morning with a water like discharge constantly running from my right nostril. It gets worse when i bend over or lay down and has a slightly sweet taste and in the last hour my right eye has started watering severely as well.......when ive been able to blow my nose the muscus has been a peach to orange colour which is not a colour ive seen before either and i now cant blow my nose at all.....my doctor is unavailable today and im starting to get concerned please help

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain orange nasal discharge with a history of Sinusitis seems to be due to re-infection in sinuses leading to flow of inflammatory fluid.
Orangish colour can be due to my ous mixrd with blood..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise you Nasal endoscopy and PNS view of sinuses to rule out the exact cause of the discharge and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now do Steroid nasal spray, saline nasal irrigation and decongestant nasal spray..
Steam inhalation can help..
The Physician can advise you antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, steroids and decongestant..
