What Causes Orange Urine And Itchiness In Soles Of Feet/stomach During Pregnancy?

I am 38 weeks and 2 days pregnant. For the past few days, my urine has been a dark orange color. I drink nothing but water all day long, so it couldn t be from lack of water. Also, for the past 2 days I have been very itchy on the soles of my feet and palms of hands, tummy, and arms. It actually kept me up last night because it was so uncomfortable. Could this be cholestasis?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Before considering something like cholelithiasis, we need to first analyze your diet. Colored urine is most commonly seen due to coloring agents from food or drinks consumed. Please examine all the items you have consumed and if you do find something (eg. Candy, ice creams, chocolates, energy drinks, other drinks, etc.), this is most porbably the cause for the orange urine.

As for the itchy soles, let us wait a while longer and if this persists get a liver function test conducted and visit a doctor.
