What Causes Out Break Of Red Dots On The Skin All Over The Body?
Ok so my girlfriend has been breaking out in red dots all over her body. Its not chickenpocks because they mostly are in straight lines. Plus the earlier ones are going away but new ones keep popping up. I m really worried and so is she. I haven t had the problem and her kids don t have it either so it doesn t appear to be contagious.
Your friend aw ems to have developed pityriasis rosea . Now this is basically a harmless and self limiting skin condition in which there is development of round to oval reddish scaly lesions over the trunk and proximal limbs. These lesions are self limiting ,they tend to persist for four to six weeks and then heal by themselves . Topical application of mild steroids like cortisone along with topical moisturisers can be done to relieve the itching ,if any . In addition ,Take some oral antihistamines like Benadryl or levocetrizine along to relieve the associated itching and allergy . Also since this is a non contagious problem,so there is really no reason to worry .
