What Causes Outbreak Of Acne While On Pyridol?

Hi I ve been on a pill similar to Yasmin for many years alongside roacutane. I stopped accutane 2 years ago and had hardly any break ours. I changed pills because my doctor suggested it in the uk and I have had hideous break outs so he put be back on the equivalent which I was on beforehand co- pyrindol and its not getting better at all - it s only been a couple of weeks do you think the acne will clear? Thank you

Hi,

You are taking hormonal contraceptive pills. These pills can cause hormonal imbalance. So the new pill might have caused hormonal imbalance which is causing acne.

So better to consult a gynaecologist and get done hormone levels. You will need specific hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once your hormones normalize, you will be alright. And this might take at least 2-3 weeks.
