What Causes Outbreak Of Hives All Over The Body Upon Intake Of Antibiotics?

I was on day 10 of antibiotics for dental work, the last 3 nights I woke up itchy and hot. Last night I woke up and could not fall back to sleep, took an oatmeal bath as I noticed the beginning of hives, I ve been taking Benadryl tidy and soaping. Hives awe worse, do I need to go see a dr. Antibiotics course is over. Tooth implant appears to be normal, no drainage, never has been, no soreness. Implant is for a cap.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from allergic reaction to either any food, ,medicine etc but in case if it is occurring specifically at night it can be due to bed bugs..

Consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Blood tests ca help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

As of now you can take anti allergics like Levocetrizine to relieve itching and apply steroid ointment over the hives..
Do cool compresses over the hives..

In case if the cause is bed bugs, proper washing and disinfecting the bed sheets, blankets, pillow covers and lso put the mattresses into sunlight for 3 to hours..
Wash all your night wears as well as day wears..
Use hypoallergic detergents..
