What Causes Outbreak Of Painful Pimples Under The Chin?
I noticed a few days ago as I needed to scratch under my chin there is a lump there . I believe this is the submental lymph node directly under my chin. Two weeks ago I was on a zpac for an upper respitory infection but I am not sick at the moment so not sure if that could be related . I have had some acne break outs on my chin latley which I normally don t have....The under the skin kind that feel painful. There are 3 pimples there now. Other than that I m healthy with no major medical issues in the past. Could the swelling in the node be from acne?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of outbreak of painful pimples under the chin which is mainly due to staph infection on your skin i.e bacterial infection. Whenever skin got punctured because of any reason these bacteria enter in skin and start causing infection, symptoms of redness, swelling, pus. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to wash your face and skin around infection with antibacterial face wash. You should drink plenty of fluids. You should avoid itching and pricking these pimples. Take antibiotic course such as Azithromycin or you can take Augmentin as well. Start applying antibacterial cream such as triple antibiotic or neosporin, You can apply ointment rich in Azelaic acid, it will give immediate effects. Complex polymyxin B ointment is also an effective one.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
