What Causes Pain Above The Pelvic Bone?

Hello, I have had pain above my pelvic bone since yesterday started with cramps and led to tenderness with touch by pushing on lower belly. I have had pain with urination and even while walking. It has been two days I thought it was a UTI but the medicine made no difference.

Hello,

I would like to know your age and gender so that proper diagnosis can be made and treatment advised.

Assuming it as a case of UTI I would suggest you have Urine Routine Examination and microscopy done along with urine culture test.

Till then a Fluoroquinolone such as Tab Norfloxacin 500 mg twice for a week is advised. 1 tsp of Potassium citrate syrup in 1glass of water for at least 3 times a day.

Take tablet Drotin sos at the time of abdominal pain. Drinks lots and lots of water and fluids, juices etc. Have an ultrasound lower abdomen done. Follow me up with reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
