What Causes Pain Above The Waist?

I have pain on my front to right side right above the waist. I have been nauseated some again since my gallbladder that I had a month ago about a month ago I started getting knots around my waist on my right side and slightly around nine months ago. The doctor told me it was not anything to worry about. what do you think I should do.
