What Causes Pain Across The Shoulder?

i have suffer from high blood pressure and take lipitor 10mg i have been having pain across my shoulder for the past 2 days.i have had a ECG in the past month and it was clear and have had a angigram 3 years ago and it was clear also ,i am 55 years of age and a white male

It is possible that the pain may be related to problems with the shoulder itself and not any structures in the chest such as the heart.

This is more likely if the pain is aggravated by any movements or if there is a history of direct or indirect trauma or excess physical activity.
If this is the case, then the use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen would be helpful.

Heart related pain is normally in the center of the chest though it can radiate to the left side.
It is tight/heavy/crushing pain that is worse with activity. Associated with palpitations and shortness of breath.
