What Causes Pain After Hip Replacement Surgery?

I had a Depuy metal on metal hip replaced in 2008. It started to bother me less than a year later. My surgeon gave me a cortisone shot but it did not help. He later suggested a revision with ceramic one. I wanted a 2nd opinion and that surgeon said there was nothing wrong. I have continued to have burning pain and sore pain constantly. Should I have the revision now?
