What Causes Pain And A Yellow-reddish Puss Discharge In Ear?

My fiance has fluid behind his ear and he has had it drained with a syringe multiple times and sometimes it just explodes out of nowhere and it s like a yellow-redish colour of puss, it s sore to touch and if he sleeps on that side but nothing he can t bare, any advice would be helpful

Dear- thanks for using our service. Your fiance is having an ear infection that is causing the yellowish pus-discharge from it. It is important to see his primary care physician or ENT for a complete otoscopic exam and probably cleaning of the ear canal, followed by oral antibiotics to clear the infection.It is advisable to be seen as soon as possible because these infections can create long term problems and damage of the tympanic membrane,with hearing deficit.
