Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain bacterial infection in throat for which you are taking antibiotics and pin on tilting the head back seems to be all due to
throat infection and pain seems to be due to swollen glands..
For confirmation consult an Otolaryngologist or an ENT expert and get evaluated..
He can do investigations like Throat swab culture can help in diagnosis..
You can be advised:
-Antibiotics like
Augmentin OR
Azithromycin to resolve the infection..
-Anti-inflammatory painkillers like
Ibuprofen can be taken to relive pain. -----Doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room can be very much relieving.
-You can also suck throat lozenges to soothe the throat..
-Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
-Gargle with antiseptic solution like few drops of betadine in water..
-Chew
Vitamin C pellets to boost up the immunity..
-Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
