What Causes Pain And Bleeding Around The Teeth Removed Area?
I had all four wisdom teeth removed a week ago. On the top right side, some bone is exposed further up on the outer gums on the furthest back molar. It's painful and bleeds occasionally. Also, on my bottom left side, I think the stitches came out too early or something and gums opened up and turned black. I am also experiencing some pain on that side. I have been rinsing with warm salt water but I'm not noticing a difference.
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The bleeding could be because of the opened up wound or secondary to any bony spicule causing trauma to the overlying gums. Consult a oral maxillofacial surgeon and get it smoothened and stitches placed. Do not gargle too much. Apply pressure with cotton dipped and sqeesed in saline and bite it and hold. it reduces the bleeding. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
Read your query as you have pain , bleeding and expoure of bone in extraction socket this happens when blood clot is removed from extraction socket and there is unhealed socket or Dry socket , I will suggest you to consult dentist and go for curetage of extraction socket with irrigation and zinc oxide eugenol pack . For pain you can take analgesic like Diclomol , or Ketorol dt and follow all postoperative instruction given by your doctor , take proper rest , take proper course of antibiotics prescribed by your dentist.
Hope this will help you.
