What Causes Pain And Bleeding From Ears While Cleaning With Qtip?

My son is 3 yrs old and after his bath I was wiping his ears with a qtip. Not sure what happened but the qtip seemed to slip into his ear further than normal and he cried in pain and then his ear bleed a little and he said it hurts. We gave him tylenol and chocolate chip cookies. Did I puncture his eardrum?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi Thank for asking to HCM.
As per your clinical history it appears as your son having some trauma to his ear drum.
Keep ear dry ,don’t allow water to go inside ear while bath. It will heal of its own if water doesn't go inside his ear or he don't have cold in between.
Hope above information helpful to you , take care.
